  • Regina Public Library has out grown the current downtown building
  • A new Central Library and Cultural Centre will help meet the growing needs of Regina’s ever-growing population
  • The Cultural Centre will create a dynamic and vibrant sense of civic pride in the heart of downtown Regina
  • Only minor upgrades have been done since the initial construction of the Central Branch
  • The condition study for repairs over the next few years is approximately $10 million
  • Does not address the space issue for function, public safety, or building code
  • Currently 75,000 square feet, new facility would have to approximately 150,000 square feet
